A Conversation with Deborah Klochko and Andy Grundberg

The Museum of Photographic Arts hosted a conversation between MOPA Executive Director Deborah Klochko and Andy Grundberg, an art critic, curator and educator. Grundberg started the evening with insight on the past, present and future of photography, which led into the main topic of discussion: visual literacy.

The evening celebrated photography’s beginnings, methodologies and evolving future – and how MOPA is at the cutting edge to implement its core vision to institutionalize the concept of becoming the leader in visual literacy.

It was wonderful to see the newly renovated Joan and Irwin Jacobs Theater filled with MOPA supporters and photography enthusiasts. As the Center for Visual Learning, MOPA will serve as a nexus for new ideas to engage and educate the public about the role photography plays in today’s world.
