Photo Forum Trip to Chicago
April 8 - 11, 2010
The Photo Forum will be investigating the development of the Chicago school of photography in Spring 2010. The trip includes a viewing of photo collections at the Bank of America Collection (formerly the LaSalle Bank Collection), the Art Institute, and the Museum of Contemporary Photography.
It will also feature a private visit to the Stephen Daiter Gallery to see an exhibition of photography that came out of the Institute of Design, showcasing the teachings of Nagy, and later Harry Callahan and Aaron Siskind.
Photo Forum will additionally view some of Chicago's most esteemed historic landmark buildings: touring the Glessner House designed by H.H. Richardson in 1886, the Clarke House, the oldest existing house in Chicago, and the Robie House by Frank Lloyd Wright, 1910.
