Self-Guided Tours – Free
Tour size: 8-30 participants.
Self-guided tours allow the class to set the pace for the tour, and allow the teacher to lead lively discussions with the students that is meaningful for their learning.
Available Tuesday-Sunday, from 10 AM – 4 PM
Facilitated Tours – $55
Tour size 8-30 participants.
Facilitated tours are led by our gallery educators and foster a deep understanding of the content by guiding the students in conversation about the artworks to practice deep looking, and seek evidence to support their observations.
Available Wednesday-Friday, from 10 AM – 1 PM
Tour + Workshop
Extend the learning experience with a tour and learning program. Each program is customized for the class. It starts with a highly interactive and conversational tour of our current exhibition, and then continues with a hands-on photo-based art making activity in MOPA’s learning laboratory.
Fees for a Tour + Workshop program are
$175 for groups of 8 to 20 students
$225 for groups of 21 to 40 students

Need funds to pay for the cost of busing students to the museum? MOPA has a limited number of scholarships each year to support teachers and schools to bring their students.
Cancellation & Late Arrival Policy
Tours must be cancelled at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled visit. If a tour is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, or you do not show up, then you will be sent an invoice for the full amount. Groups that arrive late will receive a condensed tour at the originally quoted price. Educators will wait 15 minutes for your group to arrive, so please let us know that you are on your way by calling our Admission Desk at (619)238-7559 x230.
