A Conversation with Erica Deeman

May 5, 2018 @ 11:00 am - May 5, 2018 @ 12:00 pm

Join us on Saturday, May 5 at 11AM in MOPA’s theater for a conversation with photographer Erica Deeman to discuss her projects Silhouettes and Brown. Both projects will be on view at MOPA as part of the museum’s upcoming exhibition Artist Speaks: Erica Deeman.

Erica’s images explore the lack of representation of people from the African diaspora and challenge racial stereotypes. Attendees will get the chance to learn more about the artist’s work and to ask their own questions.

This event is free and open to K-12, their parents, college students, and educators.

Note: Please arrive early to secure your spot and to explore the exhibition Artist Speaks: Erica Deeman prior to the conversation. No RSVP required, but seating is limited. To make arrangements for a large group or class, please contact MOPA’s Adult Programs Manager at linde@mopa.org.
