The San Diego International Film Festival’s 20th anniversary season celebrates film throughout San Diego! Enjoy a full day of in-person screenings at MOPA on October 15, 2021.

11:15 AM The French Dispatch A love letter to journalists set in an outpost of an American newspaper in a fictional twentieth century French city that brings to life a collection of stories published in “The French Dispatch Magazine”.  (103 minutes)

Amin Nawabi grapples with a painful secret he has kept hidden for 20 years. Director Jonas Poher Rasmussen tells for the first time his extraordinary journey as a child refugee from Afghanistan.  (103 minutes)

4:00 PM The Power of the Dog
Charismatic rancher Phil Burbank inspires fear and awe in those around him. When his brother brings home a new wife and her son, Phil torments them until he finds himself exposed to the possibility of love.  (108 minutes)

COVID PROTOCOL: As of Thursday October 14, all attendees for in-person events or film screenings will be required to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test OR proof of vaccination as “Fully Vaccinated”. The test must betaken within 72 hours of the event in order to enter in-person San Diego International Film Festival events. You will have to show your vaccination or negative test when you arrive on-site.
