The Artist Odyssey Presents: J. GRANT BRITTAIN: 30 years of Skate Photography

August 30 @ 6:30 pm - August 30 @ 8:00 pm

Join The Artist Odyssey for a special film screening of J. Grant Brittain: 30 Years of Skate Photography, a 20-minute short film featuring the iconic skate photographer J. Grant Brittain. The artist shares insights into his career of documenting a generation of skaters, from hanging out at Del Mar Skate Ranch in the 1980s to the recreation of the famed photo of the Bones Brigade on the Chin Ramp (Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero, Lance Mountain, Mike McGill). This documentary also features legendary pro-skater Chris Miller — Brittain’s long-time subject, collaborator, and friend — and marks the first time the two have ever been interviewed together on film.

Following the screening will be a Q&A with Grant, and the filmmakers.
