Join the Blue Water Film Festival for a powerful evening of film, including a series of curated shorts and the feature film Whale Nation.
Blue Water Film Festival celebrates UN – World Water Day, and promotes San Diego, California as a hub for marine science, naval exploration, and an epicenter for environmental storytelling. Blue Water Film Festival’s year-round screening, panels, and events help to cultivate a burgeoning family-based, environmental and military community in San Diego and around the world.
Feature Film: WHALE NATION
A humpback whale is beached on a remote shore. During the fight to save its life, scientists discover the story of these extraordinary creatures, with unknown territories and a barely known society.
Short Films:- PLSTC (short animated film; screening starts at 6:00 p.m.)
- CODE ROSE (short animated film; screening starts at 6:05 p.m.)
- SLAVES TO WATER (short film; screening starts at 6:10 p.m.)
- WHALE NATION (feature length film; screening starts at 6:30 p.m.)
Tickets: $25
Ticket grants access to all content on the first day of the Blue Water Film Festival. This includes the screening of WHALE NATION at 6:00 p.m. and all short films listed above.
