Undocuqueer: Stories from Bordertown

Undocuqueer: Stories from Bordertown is a series of photo stories capturing the experience of San Diego’s LGBTQ+ DACA recipients. San Diego resident and photographer, Beto Soto, captures his communities struggles and triumphs. The series of stories describe the complexity and resilience of being undocumented and being part of the LGBTQ+ community. The pop-up exhibition will be showing at the Museum of Photographic Arts from November 27th – December 3rd, 2018.

CULTURE Trek: David Levinthal

Join us on December 14 to explore the colorful large-scale Polaroids by photographer David Levinthal. Levinthal uses toys and props to create miniature scenes packed with references to American visual culture. Engaging with a wide range of topics, from race and identity to beauty and sexuality, the artist used a unique large-format Polaroid camera to photograph this particular set of images.
