The 17th Annual Juried Youth Exhibition, Explorations, showcases the creative perspectives of local youth artists. Students in grades K-12 throughout San Diego County and Tijuana were challenged to respond to the theme of “exploration” through photography and video.
This year’s theme inspired a visual exploration of the depths of our imaginations, our individual essence, and the recognition that we can all write our own adventures. Our featured youth artists remind us that exploration has no limits and no end goal, but is an intentional journey of discovery with eyes wide open.
Support for Explorations: 17th Annual Juried Youth Exhibition is provided by Wendy Gillespie–Capdevilla Gillespie Foundation, the Gardner Bilingual Fund, ResMed Foundation, and the members of The San Diego Museum of Art. Institutional support for the Museum is provided by the City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture.
