Connecting to Collections

Join MOPA’s curatorial department Saturday, December 14th, as we begin this seasonal series that links the Museum’s permanent collection with our exhibitions, by allowing members the opportunity to view original works in MOPA’s print viewing room. Guests will have an opportunity to meet with the curatorial staff in an informal event while seeing unique items from California-based artists. Our first Connecting to Collections day is held in conjunction with the current exhibition Staking Claim: A California Invitational, and expands on the theme by looking at iconic works from California based photographers such as Ansel Adams, Ruth Bernhard, Carleton Watkins, Linda Connor, Richard Misrach, and more! Guests will also have an opportunity to see a selection of books in the Edmund L. and Nancy K. Dubois Library as part of the experience.

The event will run once per hour at 10:00am , 11:00am and 12:00pm, each lasting approximately 50 minutes.

This event is for MOPA Members only. For questions please contact our membership manager, Angela Venuti, at venuti@mopa.org or 619.238.7559 x202.
