Eliza Jane Schneider at MOPA

Thursday, July 24 – If you’re looking for some Comic-Conaction, MOPA has a treat for you.

In a sneak preview of her new project, “DISPLACED,” Eliza Jane Schneider does a live remix of some characters from her award-winning solo play, FREEDOM OF SPEECH, with songs and a 7-string violin, posing the question, “What does it mean to be HOMELESS?”

Two shows in one night – 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Free with museum admission, MOPA will be open late until 9 p.m.

Schneider is an actor, playwright, songstress, dialectologist and fiddler. She is most widely known for voicing most of the female characters on Comedy Central’s SOUTH PARK, as well as voicing Rebecca Crane in the ASSASSIN’S CREED game franchise. Her one-woman, 34-character show, FREEDOM OF SPEECH, is the product of a 20-year, 300,000 mile road trip Eliza took in a converted ambulance to record the voices of America. It was produced by MOXIE Theatre in San Diego and was nominated for a San Diego Theatre Critics ‘Craig Noel” Award.
